Moss retains moisture and can grow around shingle edges, especially on shaded north- and northeast-facing roof planes. Over time, heavy moss growth can affect the way asphalt shingles shed water. Addressing visible moss early is generally more practical than waiting until the growth becomes thick, widespread, or harder to treat safely.
No. Swift Serve does not use high-pressure cleaning on asphalt-shingle roofs. We use a professional, controlled low-pressure treatment process that treats moss and other
biological growth without aggressive pressure on the shingle surface. Our goal is to handle the growth while protecting the integrity of the roof—not simply create a fast cosmetic
result.
Not always—and that is by design. Swift Serve does not aggressively scrub shingles just to force every remnant off in one visit. After treatment, remaining moss may turn light brown or white-brown as it dies and can release naturally over time with weather. We will explain the expected appearance and condition of your specific roof.
Yes. Swift Serve provides a two-year moss-removal service warranty. If covered new green moss growth returns during that period, we will inspect and retreat the affected area at no charge, subject to the written warranty terms in your quote and service agreement. This service warranty is separate from any roofing-material manufacturer warranty.
Not every roof is a good candidate. If shingles are near the end of their life, there is significant granule loss, exposed fiberglass, missing shingles, active leaks, or a planned roof replacement, treatment may not be the right investment. Swift Serve evaluates the roof condition and will give you an honest recommendation before proposing service.
